The Green Valley Recreation, Inc. (GVR), is a non-profit organization serving the leisure and social needs of the adult retirement community of Green Valley, Arizona, which is located 25 miles south of Tucson on I-19. Green Valley Recreation owns and operates twelve recreational facilities, dispersed throughout the Green Valley community, and one member service center, all valued at over $15 million. Green Valley Recreation provides many services and activities to a private membership base of over 11,400 households, an estimated 21,000 individuals. Hundreds of volunteers assist a dedicated staff to help operate year-round programs for both the active and passive adult lifestyle.
GVR members enjoy many drop-in amenities such as fitness centers, billiards, basketball, Bocce, shuffleboard, horseshoes, tennis, swimming pools, spas and more all available year-round! GVR also provides activities such as dances, special events, and concerts, which vary each month. There are over 60 special interest clubs members can join and there are over 125 special interest classes offered each year for GVR members.
